In November of 2008, the Median Sold Price for LA county MLS properties was approximately $388,000. In December the median price went down to about $380,000. Here's the actual interesting part. From January to April of 2009 it bounced between approximately $340,000 and $355,000. This is a $48,000 price decrease from November. Full the sunshine statistics begin in May because the price shot up to $375,000 with a peak of around $380,000 in June. It started heading down once more in September when the kids went back to school, having a Median Sold Cost of $360,00 after which in November the price as much as $377,000. The reason the median price didn't reach $388,000 as it was back in November of 2008 is a result of the median price declining 3% within the year. For the 2008-2009 time period, it appears that the months of January through April showed significant price decreases.
