  1. 1 The tempo happens to be catchy. If you have taken the initiative to listen to dubstep then you very well know what I mean.. You can nod your head to this music called dubstep because of it's tempo or speed. At 140 Beats Per Minute (the speed of your normal rap song) with drum patterns at half time, this genre carries an interesting mix of high aura and near frantic synthesizer sequences while delivering the drums at exactly half the tempo or speed (786 Beats Per Minute). With intensely modulated bass lines added to this combo, this genre packs quite a punch. The tempo or speed of dubstep Squidoo is right around the speed of "dirty south" hip hop.

Reason 2 Mainstream value. Even though this sound started in the underground and original enthusiasts and producers of this genre really detest the fact that mainstream artists are beginning to use it more, the fact is dubstep is quite catchy. It really has great potential of becoming mainstream, especially with r&b music taking over the hip hop and r&b world already. With a good number of hip hop songs already in this tempo or speed range, it is very likely that these two type of music will be mixed together quite frequently.

3. At the end of the day pure rock will remain pure rock. Those who found rock early on are mad that it's going to go mainstream and think that it will ruin it for everyone however I think that's not true. You might think I'm crazy but I think it makes sense as the original dubsteppers will be forced to create a new style or keep on making original rock. I'm inclined to believe that the rock world can't destroy a whole genre. One thing to think about is that rock well that was underground and then it became mainstream but the whole underground scene is still doing pretty well. There is also rock music which happened to go mainstream in 1980 but the underground community is still thriving. There will just be two forms of rock: mainstream...and everything else that's not.

You might be sitting there not knowing what rock is, well head over to You Tube and check out some artists and you'll be hooked!
