Pen spinning is some sort of object manipulation that will require the deft manipulation of a writing instrument with one's palms. Although it is often considered some sort of self-entertainment (usually in a school/office setting), multinational competitions and meetings are sometimes held. While its origins remain unclear, pen-spinning is rapidly gaining international popularity as a result of on-line video sharing and forums. According to Masaki Tsukada, chairman in the Japanese pen spinners, pen spinning now provides dedicated movements in South Korea and north america.
