<p></p> <p><b>新規ページ</b></p><div>ADSL【Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line】<br /> <br /> 　電話局から利用者のもとへ引かれている既存の銅線を利用し，数Mbps～十数Mbps程度の伝送速度を実現する通信方式の一つ．インターネットへの高速アクセス方式として利用されている．電話局からユーザへは約12Mbps，ユーザから電話局へは約2Mbpsという非対称な伝送速度をもつのが特徴．利用には，ADSLモデムのほか，交換機側の工事やADSLサービス事業者との契約が必要．<br /> <br /> 　既存の電話回線では，1回線当たり約4kHz程度の音声帯域幅を利用したモデムによる伝送が一般的だが，線路の特性インピーダンスの不整合などによる漏話対策などの理由を除けば，ユーザと電話局の間を個別に結ぶ銅線部分の帯域制限を行う積極的な理由はない．そこで，電話交換網は使わず，この銅線による電話線だけを伝送路として利用すれば，広帯域なデータ通信が可能となる．ただし，配線長による伝送特性劣化や，漏話によるISDNのキャリア信号との干渉などの問題も指摘されている．また，ADSL対向機器をユーザからの配線が収容される電話交換局舎内に設置しなければならないほか，銅線部分だけをほかの事業者に貸しても利益が出ないなど，いずれも電話会社（東西NTT）があまり積極的になれない理由もあると言われている．<br /> <br /> 　なお，長野県伊那市のように，JA（旧農協）が保有する農業電話の回線を利用するなど，独自の回線があれば地域ぐるみで利用できることを示した事例もある．<br /> <br /> <br /> ----<br /> 【出典】Interface編集部 編；組み込み技術用語集，Interface 2007年8月号 別冊付録，CQ出版社，2007年8月．<br /> <br /> [[Category:組み込み技術全般]] [[Category:通信]]</div>
