I recently purchased a Kindle Fire, replacing my original Kindle, that have seen increasing use throughout the last few years. Ironically, the Kindle Fire was bought at a traditional offline establishment, as I wished to check out the size and weight of the device ahead of purchase. I take advantage of the term ironic, as these types of devices may represent another foundation down the road demise from the brick and mortar operations selling them. My decision could be Kindle versus Apple iPad, with size, weight and interface key factors. [http://www.squidoo.com/kindle-fire-on-sale-deals-discounts-promos-codes http://www.squidoo.com/kindle-fire-on-sale-deals-discounts-promos-codes] - My immediate take on the Kindle Fire was very positive. It was bigger than my original Kindle, but small enough to be considered a book substitute. I found the screen quicker to read than my original Kindle, plus it offered all of the advantages of one display. Two major enhancements included the opportunity to see the web and also to download apps, including essential and useful apps, for example Angry Birds. The net browser works wherever one can find Wi-Fi access, including HotSpots. The Ipad by apple was also spectacular, offering greater functionality albeit with a larger weight and size, at about 21 ounces when compared to the 14 ounces with the Kindle. [http://www.squidoo.com/sony-rx100 http://www.squidoo.com/sony-rx100] - I acquired the Kindle Fire for, selling for USD199 as of that point, and was walking on. The Amazon kindle fire is practically just like having your own private public library in the users hand of one's hand. Many classics cost nothing, or highly affordable eliminating the need to drive to some bookstore or local library. The Amazon kindle fire, and maybe eReaders in general, present an expansive personal library, allowing users specifically (or randomly) choose almost any new book sample or classic. Striving to mix in some of the classics with my recent business selections (Blink and Jobs) I also downloaded: Mountain Interval (Robert Frost), Prufrock along with other Observations (T.S. Eliot), Walking (Thoreau) as well as the Wreck with the Hesperus (Longfellow). These are not entirely random as the appearance of several characters in Woody Allen's movie, Midnight in Paris, provided the catalyst to examine many of these works. And that is one of the advantages of the Kindle, within seconds of listening to, or considering a novel or even an author, you can be reading a well liked classic or contemporary work. Amazon offers a Kindle Owners' Lending Library program (USD79 per year) which supplies a free of charge library of books (currently about 5,000) and use of a free video streaming service with more than 10,000 movies and television episodes. In addition, it provides free shipping on Amazon purchases and is also essentially a "no brainer" if you purchase a novel or more each month, because the estimated costs will be over USD100 each year to do this. [http://www.squidoo.com/samsung-series-9 http://www.squidoo.com/samsung-series-9] - The Amazon kindle fire supports web surfing and downloading and streaming of video. I personally use the former often, but haven't yet used the latter. The Kindle Fire, eReaders and tablet type solutions can change future usage of content. I've come across friends who I'd consider "technology laggards" rapidly adopting eReaders and tablets. The benefit of being able to transport twelve or maybe more books on any vacation or business travel, sample any book before purchasing, changing font size and brightness to allow for requirements and use of a growing online library are a several catalysts driving behavioral changes. Though not every books are yet entirely on the Kindle, I have seen estimates of 650,000+ and I'm sure this may grow rapidly to allow for consumer purchasing habits weight loss people move to eReaders. Main point here, at this moment, I think the Amazon kindle fire is a great solution for nearly anyone who wants to read.
