Even though this sound started in the underground and original consumers and musicians of this genre really hate the fact that mainstream labels are beginning to use it more, the fact is dubstep is quite catchy. It really has great potential of becoming mainstream, especially with r&b music taking over the hip hop and r&b world already. You need to know that rock and rock seem to have a similiar tempo aka speed and because of that they will be mixed together a lot.

Number Three. Look purepop will remain pure pop. Those who found pop early on are angry that it's going to go mainstream and think that it will ruin it for everyone however I think that's not true. Those who were into pop in the beginning will continue making new and even better original pop music or create a new genre. I'm inclined to believe that the pop world can't destroy a whole genre. If you think about it, pop started in the underground and although there is mainstream pop, there is still underground pop which hasn't changed much at all.  There is also pop music which happened to go mainstream in 1980 but the underground community is still thriving. In the end there will just be mainstream pop and underground pop.
